Tri-Council Meeting - Estate Planners' Council of Halton

We are pleased to confirm that members Sue Hyatt and Justin DeVries will be presenting on Navigating Aging and Family Conflict: Practical Strategies for Professionals and Families

Aging gracefully is rarely simple. Families often find themselves facing unexpected challenges — from lifestyle and health changes to difficult conversations about care, capacity, and independence. In these moments, long-standing family tensions, mistrust, and old wounds can resurface.

Join Sue Hyatt and Justin de Vries for an engaging and practical discussion on how to navigate these complex transitions with clarity and compassion.

·        Justin de Vries is a seasoned litigator and mediator who works daily in the trenches of capacity and family disputes. He is the principal of de VRIES LITIGATION LLP.

·        Sue Hyatt is a health professional and facilitator with extensive experience helping families manage and de-escalate conflict and crises during times of change. Sue is the Co-founder  and CEO of SILVER SHERPA INC.

Together, Sue and Justin will share real-world insights on:

·        Smart aging and how to proactively plan for transitions

·        Managing elder care and decision-making challenges

·        De-escalating family disputes before they turn into crises

·        Litigation and non-litigation approaches to resolving conflict and the role of mediation.

A moderated Q&A session will follow.

Please take note of special guest fee pricing
